Why are there no contemporary accounts of this 'jesus' character of the 'bible'?

No writer who was writing during the three years when this 'jesus' was supposed to be preaching and performing miracles wrote one word about 'him'. The earliest gospel (Mark) wasn't even written until about 65 CE. That's more than thirty years after the 'crucifixion'. Did it take that long to create the fiction of this supposed 'miracle' worker?
