Jesus`s Resurrection:Could he might have survived the Crucifixion?

I actually believe that the Jesus story is mythology to be understood metaphorically and symbolically. With this said it is worthy to mention that many Christians Gnostics and many Essenes believed that Jesus was not killed or did survive the crucifixion. Some Muslims have also held to the believe that Essa (Jesus) survived.
