Right side abdominal pain?

For around 4 days now I have had a steady sharp pain in my right side. It has gotten little by little worse and worse. At night it hurts the most when I lay down. When I press on my stomach it does not really hurt, but when I let go, it hurts all over and worse then before. I don't know if I pulled a muscle, or what but it's been hurting me at night and it's so annoying and painful. It hurts in the day, then stabs me randomly just like at night. I don't want too go too the hospital only if I can't bare the pain any longer. I don't want to go and have them say, o nothing is wrong, then feel like an ***. Iv tried ice, heat, ibuprofen, and nothing seems too work. Any suggestions?
