From Friday to Sunday is TWO FREAKING DAYS. Even going by the Jewish method of counting days it still comes out at two days, not "after three days". I think that this comes from a garbled interpretation of the passage that goes, "on the third day I will rise again". This implies that the first day was the day of crucifixion, sundown started the second day, then the third day started at sundown of the next day and continued into Sunday morning.
