Scared to take the city bus, What to do?

Hey, im 15 and from London and i've heard Edmonton isnt too great of an area. just keep yourself to yourself whilst waiting for the bus, dont stare at people or sit there playing with your phone etc as those things attract attention to yourself. Honestly though you should be fine, ive never had trouble on or waiting for a bus and i sit upstairs on my own regularly with my iPhone in clear view haha, if your still worried then stay downstairs on the bus (if its a double decker) and sit near the driver, in my area you find the older adults stay downstairs and the teenagers n young adults go upstairs so to be safer stay downstairs near the driver.
